U4GM Explains MLB The Show 26 White Sox vs. Astros Program - 1fuhd - 2026-10-06 The White Sox vs. Astros Program is a short postseason grind in MLB The Show 26 Diamond Dynasty. Released on October 1, 2026, it takes the American League Wild Card matchup and turns it into five Moments, four Missions, and a 25-point reward path. If you are looking for a few new postseason cards without spending hours on a long program, this is an easy one to add to your schedule. It can also be a good chance to use your MLB Stubs on lineup upgrades if your collection needs better eligible players. White Sox vs Astros Program Rewards The program has three 99 OVR Postseason cards, two packs, and 6,026 total XP. Rewards are spread across five-point milestones: • 5 Points: 99 OVR Postseason Cam Smith + 1,000 XP • 10 Points: Ballin' is a Habit Pack + 1,000 XP • 15 Points: 99 OVR Postseason Jeremy Peña + 1,000 XP • 20 Points: Deluxe Pack + 1,000 XP • 25 Points: 99 OVR Postseason Chase Meidroth + 2,026 XP Cam Smith is the first card worth chasing because you can unlock him quickly and then use the new reward while working through the remaining objectives. Peña and Meidroth give you two more high-rated options once you reach the final stages. Complete the Five Moments First There are five Wild Card Moments, and each one awards two program points. That means you can earn half of the entire program by finishing the Moments alone. The challenges are: • Mr. Smith Goes to Houston • Sam Saves the City • Peña Prepares for Leadoff • Cam Cuts the Lead • Chasing Momentum Start here before worrying about the Missions. Ten quick points get you the first player reward and the Ballin' is a Habit Pack. More importantly, you can then add Cam Smith to your squad and potentially use him while working on PXP objectives. If you are missing useful team cards, you may be tempted to buy MLB Stubs before starting. Check your collection first, though, because you may already have enough eligible players to finish everything without making unnecessary purchases. Finish the Four Missions The remaining 15 points come from four Missions. They are straightforward, but the best approach is to work on several at the same time. 1. White Sox Hits – 3 Points Record 19 hits with White Sox players. Build a lineup loaded with Chicago hitters and play normally while working toward the target. 2. Astros Home Runs – 3 Points Hit four home runs with Astros players. Put your strongest Houston power hitters near the top of the lineup and take advantage of favorable pitching matchups. 3. Team PXP – 4 Points Earn 2,026 Parallel XP with White Sox and/or Astros players. This is where you should avoid creating a separate grind. Your Chicago hits and Houston home runs can contribute to this requirement at the same time. 4. Postseason PXP – 5 Points Earn 2,026 Parallel XP with 2026 Postseason Series players. Pay close attention to the card's actual series designation. The requirement is for cards released for the 2026 playoffs, so don't assume every older card carrying postseason-related branding will count. Best Way to Complete the Program The most efficient route is simple: • Finish all five Moments for 10 points. • Build a lineup around White Sox hitters and Astros power bats. • Add as many eligible 2026 Postseason cards as possible. • Chase hits and home runs while earning team PXP. • Continue playing until the 2,026 Postseason PXP requirement is finished. • Claim each milestone reward as soon as it becomes available. After unlocking Cam Smith and Jeremy Peña, consider putting them into your lineup if they qualify for the PXP requirements you're still working on. This can help reduce the amount of extra gameplay needed. Don't rush into buying cards simply because a mission asks for a specific team. You can often complete the objectives with cards already sitting in your collection. If you do need replacements, comparing the market first is a better idea than immediately spending cheap MLB Stubs. Are the Rewards Worth It? For a 25-point program, the reward package is solid. Three 99 OVR Postseason players, two packs, and more than 6,000 XP make the White Sox vs. Astros Program worth completing even if you are not a fan of either team. The biggest advantage is the short grind. The five Moments immediately give you 10 points, while the Missions can be stacked together instead of completed one by one. That makes this a good program to knock out between larger Diamond Dynasty activities. Before moving on to the next postseason challenge, check whether any of the three new cards can help with your current lineup, collection, or PXP grind. If you are looking for MLB Stubs for sale, prioritize spending on cards that provide value beyond this single program. |
